Need some help decoding your child's report card? This outline describes the characteristics of the standards and benchmarks skill performance grades and the behavior ratings specialist staff use.

Physical Education Grading

Standards and Benchmarks:
4	Performs at above grade level expectations. Demonstrates advanced movement patterns and skills.
3	Performs at grade level expectations. Demonstrates proficient movement patterns and skills.
2	Performs meets or is slightly below grade level expectations. Demonstrates satisfactory movement patterns and skills.
1	Performs below grade level expectations. Demonstrates unsatisfactory movement patterns and skills.

Behavior/Effort:
Excellent:	Participates well in activity. Ability to work with other students. Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and rules during activity.
Very Good:	Participates in activities and with others in class. Follows directions and rules and remains on task after redirection.
Satisfactory:	Does not regularly participate in activity and with others. Needs frequent redirection to remain on task.
Needs Improvement:	Does not participate in all units. Distracts others with misbehavior and does not follow directions.
