Matters Newsletters: quarterly
newsletters to all staff regarding technology and literacy topics. ·

Services Pamphlet: distributed to
all staff at the beginning of the year, this pamphlet describes library policies
and services. ·

Caught Reading posters: Added over
40 posters of school staff reading their favorite children’s books. Standard #3: Access:

that Riverside and Easton libraries are open every day for circulation to
students and staff. ·
Continued
to create a warm and friendly IMC environment that encourages students and staff
use. ·
Stress
Basket: Created a basket of edible “goodies” in the backroom of
the library for all staff to use. ·
Managing
Scheduling of Computer labs and library – managing weekly schedules for the
school year. Standard #4: Collection
Management and Use: The
ability to build and maintain resource collections that include both internal
and external access points to support the educational goals of the school and
the personal, developmental and curricular needs of students and teachers. ·
Book
Preview Party: Provided staff with an opportunity to preview the newest books
and media selections when new books were added. ·
Student
Survey: Students in 2nd – 5th grades were
surveyed regarding suggestions for specific books to be added to the collection. ·
Cataloging:
Approx. 1400 new items were added to the collections this year. ·
Use
of Collection Analysis to add beginning reader books (red dots) for young
readers and teacher wish lists to enhance specific areas of the collection. ·
Updated
Accelerated Reader list of over 1,600 books to include call numbers to make it
easier for students to access. Standard #5: Technology,

The ability to use technology effectively with students and
faculty to facilitate teaching and learning. ·
Webmaster:
Since 1997, providing updated school web pages for my schools. ·
Online
Tools handout – describing online resources available, including descriptions
and logins/passwords. ·

Book Talk PowerPoints – incorporating book “trailers” designed to get 4th
and 5th graders excited about specific genres. ·
SmartBoard:
Used several times a day during library classes to aide student learning. Standard #6: Administration:

Plans: Managed the 2010-2011 school year budgets, devised one for
next year. ·
