Exhausted and
suffering from air sickness, Seng Vang (left) headed to California, sleeps
as her daughter rests in her lap with her sons and and husband seated next
to her on a flight from Bangkok, Thailand to Japan en route to the United
States July 9, 2004. She and dozens of other Hmong refugees endured the
lenghthy flight to America. Being the first time on a plane, most of the
refugees were unable to sleep.
